Toddlers
Toddlers thrive in safe, nurturing environments where they can explore at their own pace.
About
the toddlers care program at Growing Roots
In the toddlers’ room, we follow the RIE philosophy and integrate the Pikler and Reggio Emilia approaches. Teachers respect and focus on your child’s interests, expanding on them through planned or spontaneous activities.
Our routines for sleeping, eating, and toilet learning are flexible, calm, familiar, and positive. We encourage self-help skills such as hand washing and eating.

Learn to be independent
At Growing Roots Early Learning Center, we encourage toddlers to take responsibility for themselves and their actions by providing choices and fostering independence. Teachers support and respond to toddlers’ communication and growing independence, establishing consistent and manageable expectations and boundaries. Our teachers help toddlers navigate their feelings, make decisions, and handle conflicts and frustrations.
